Born in Carmel and raised in the rugged canyons of Big Sur, Lars grew up in a small barn with no running water. He called himself the King of the Canyon. That part was not a joke.

He started at the bottom. Minimum wage at Fry's Electronics. Waiting tables. Delivering packages. Then he turned left instead of right and found his way into Silicon Valley. From a basement startup, he built and scaled real businesses over 20 years.

Today he lives in Aptos, surfs these waters, and has raced at Laguna Seca and Santa Margarita Ranch for 25 years. This coast is not a campaign backdrop. It is home.

Five commitments to the people of the 19th District. Not talking points. Not party platform. A contract.

I.

Your Life Is Your Own

You are the best person to run your own life. Not a bureaucrat in Washington. Not a career politician collecting checks from lobbyists. I will stand as your shield against federal overreach that threatens your medical privacy, your family's choices, and your personal decisions. Government has one job: protect you from force and fraud.

II.

The Regular Neighbor Comes First

I have been the regular guy. Minimum wage at Fry's Electronics. Waiting tables. Delivering packages. The backbone of the Central Coast is the plumber, the nurse, the welder, the grocery store worker. I will vote against every bailout and every rigged spending bill that transfers wealth from working families to the connected few. The Inflation Tax is a policy. I will work to end it.

Accountability Over the Machine

If politicians are getting rich off their offices while you struggle to pay rent, the system is broken. Term limits. An immediate ban on congressional insider trading. An end to the revolving door between Congress and K Street. I am not going to join the club. I am going to end it.

Defense, Not Empire

The Constitution gives Congress the power to declare war. Not the president. Not the Pentagon. The military exists to defend American soil. I oppose all foreign military aid funded by taxpayer debt. Every dollar sent abroad to fund a conflict is a dollar taken from the people of the 19th District without their consent.

One Voice: Yours

I am taking zero donations from lobbyists or special interests. Not a dollar. When every other congressman in Washington is answering to their donors, I will be answering to you. I am a product of this coast, not a party boss rubber stamp. If you feel unrepresented by the status quo, I am your voice.

Unrig the Economy

End the Inflation Tax. No more bailouts for corporations and banks while working families on the Central Coast are priced out of the place they built. Abolish the IRS. Replace the income tax with the Fair Tax so you keep 100% of your paycheck.

Unrig Your Freedom

Keep government out of your medical decisions and personal life. No foreign military aid funded by taxpayer debt. No undeclared wars. Congress declares war. That is not a suggestion. It is the Constitution.

Unrig the Machine

Term limits for every member of Congress. Immediate ban on congressional insider trading. End the revolving door between legislators and the lobbying firms that write them checks after they leave office.

Unrig Healthcare

The medical system should work for patients. Not large insurance companies. Not Big Pharma. Not politicians collecting campaign checks. Real competition, real transparency, real prices.

Unrig the Ballot

The two-party system is a cartel built to protect incumbents. Ranked choice voting, open primaries, and equal ballot access for every candidate. If voters cannot choose freely, there is no democracy.

Unrig Energy

Doubling electric bills are not inevitable. They are the result of regulation designed to protect monopolies, not consumers. Free the market. Deploy nuclear. Get government out of the energy business.
